Chapter 1160 — The Heavenly Palace Cracks

The Herdsman of the Wasteland · Page 1 of 3

Celestial Masters Qiang and Yan were thrown into deep alarm. Even shackled by the Great Dao of Heaven and Earth, the Lord of Heaven and the Earth Earl could still bring to bear a might by no means trifling; unless the divine weapon Yuzun was marshaled, they could never be held back!

At the very instant Kaihuang made his move, Divine King Langwan struck as well, her vast divine consciousness surging forth, and in a single moment it wrapped itself around half the Jade Capital City, sinking it into the endless space and time conjured by her mind. The six imperial guards of the Heavenly Court — the Left and Right Yulin, the Shenwei, and the Shence — had only just broken through the space carved out by Kaihuang's single sword stroke when they fell into the boundless space and time envisioned by her consciousness, unable to come to anyone's aid at all.

The fighting strength of those six armies was no trifling matter either; marching out in full, they could bring down a mighty one of the Imperial Throne. But set against an existence of the Celestial Master rank, they were somewhat outclassed.

While Divine King Langwan held the six guard armies trapped, Celestial Master Xiao struck without warning, hurling himself at her; the Void Beast sprang backward and leapt into the void. Divine King Langwan's voice came drifting from deep within the void: "Xiao, as Celestial Master Yun's disciple, you know the Great Emperor so well that you make me doubt your identity.

Perhaps you and Celestial Master Hao are of one family — perhaps you are Celestial Master Hao's birth father.

" Celestial Master Xiao's eyes flickered, and he too charged into the void. Though Celestial Master Hao's heart of the Dao was firm, even he was shaken by her words; facing Kaihuang's sword, he lost some of his composure and hastily dodged aside.

Such a thing had not happened in several hundred thousand years.

Ever since Celestial Master Yun's death, he had never once evaded another's move; he had always been the deity of this world with the most profound cultivation and the most exquisite divine powers.

Yet now, his mind in chaos, he was forced to evade Kaihuang's sword lest he be wounded.

Celestial Masters Qiang and Yan were likewise deeply shaken; the two women exchanged a glance, each now very much on guard against the other.

"Hao, you have lost the courage of a seeker!

" Kaihuang, his spirit soaring boundlessly, drove Celestial Master Hao back with his sword, yet his sword moves flowed on unbroken, his sword qi sweeping and crossing through the Heavenly Court like lightning flashing back and forth; beneath his blade the vast Heavenly Court was like a bolt of brilliant, many-colored cloth beginning to split apart under the tailor's shears.

Celestial Master Hao could endure it no longer.

He retreated no more; tracing a circle with his right hand, he abruptly summoned a divine weapon into his grasp. Everyone in the Heavenly Court knew that Celestial Master Hao excelled in divine powers, that he had never once wielded a divine weapon, and that he disdained to do so.

Yet no one knew how much capital he had hidden away.

In those years, three had stolen into the Zhaoyang Hall of the ancient god Heavenly Emperor: one was Celestial Master Yun, one was Shen Mu, and the third was none other than him; the three had divided among themselves the spoils the ancient god Heavenly Emperor had won in the Ancestral Court.

Of the treasures Celestial Master Hao made off with, he gave the jade pillar to the Dao Ancestor, to fashion the jade pillars of the Shouzang Pavilion; a Tai Sui he set within the creation divine artifact, to forge the divine weapon Yuzun and other ancient divine weapons such as those of the four ancient god emperors.

But the rest of the treasures he hoarded away, secretly refining them into divine weapons of his own. Now, as his right hand traced its circle, a divine weapon emerged, shaped like a disc.
